Cycle Dynamics Racing enters MOTO-ST
Opener
Cycle Dynamics Racing announces
plans to race the opening round of the MOTO-ST at Daytona International
Speedway. The team, led by Cycle Dynamics owner Charlie Benton
has his Benton
tuned Kawasaki Ninja 650R ready to race in the ST division. Benton, a long time
NASCAR engineer and performance shop owner is no stranger to winning on
speedway tracks with both two and four wheel teams. To
complete the team Benton recruited Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School instructor Ted
Cobb who he tuned for in 2005 and won the inaugural Triumph Thruxton
Cup Championship. Rounding out the team Benton called up 16 year old
racing young gun James "the
Rocket" Rispoli who is trading in his dirt track steel shoe to pursue
road racing full time in 2008. In 2007 Rispoli
earned (4) AMA National Dirt Track Championships and (7) WERA Road Race
Championship titles, including a (5th) place finish as a rookie in the
prestigious Suzuki 600 CUP Finals at the
WERA Grand Nationals at Road
Atlanta.
