NEW RADIAL MASTER CYLINDER AND CALIPERS INTRODUCED AT 2008 DEALER EXPO INDIANAPOLIS

Feb. 15, 2008 – Brembo, a world leader in brake systems, took the opportunity to introduce four products for the North American market at the 2008DealerExpo, including new front and rear caliper kits and two unique master cylinders, significantly expanding the company’s aftermarket offerings. Brembo showcased the new 19 RCS, an update of thelegendary product with a number of significant engineering features, all derived from MotoGP. Themost unique feature of the Brembo 19 RCS (RatioClick System) radial brake master cylinder is a patented device that allows the rider to choosebetween two settings, 18 or 20 mm, to improve eithermodulation or response during braking. Previously unavailable, this feature now provides a very simpleadjustment that will give the optimum feel betweenrider, riding style, bike and circuit.

The 16RCS clutch master cylinder makes up a set withthe 19RCS. The 16RCS is equipped similarly with theRatio Click System, allowing adjustment of the feel on clutch control. Like the 19RCS brake master cylinder, this component has a forged-aluminum alloy body with hard-anodized surface finish. With the launch of the brand new monobloc caliper the range of Brembo calipers has been extended even further. The M4 108/100 makes monobloc technology available to a wider bike enthusiast community. Using the very latest casting technologies by Brembo, the new caliper can be fitted to the forks of most Japanese sport bikes. In short, the Brembo M4 is an extremely light monolithic caliper body featuring unparalleled levels of stiffness and operating precision.

At DealerExpo, Brembo also displayed a new rear caliper and bracket kit that is interchangeable with the majority of OE assemblies fitted to Japanese (Honda, Kawasaki,Suzuki and Yamaha) and European (Aprilia, Ducati, Guzzi, KTM and Moto Morini) sport bike models. Machined entirely from billet, the caliper body is the outcome of exhaustive FEM calculations that optimize weight and stiffness and comes complete with sintered pads, currently the top option available on the market.

All the above products come in kits including fitting instructions and Brembo stickers.
