bwin forges new sponsoring deal |

bwin the world’s leading provider of online gaming entertainment have
reinforced their link with top international motorcycle road racing. The company
has signed a renewed sponsorship deal for season 2008 and 2009 with Dorna
Sports, the commercial rights-holders of MotoGP.
The deal, which builds
on bwin’s existing close partnership with MotoGP represents a prestige
sponsorship with a global reach and frequency. In addition to title sponsorships
to two top MotoGPs and curve and bridge sponsorship at Brno, Czech Republic,
bwin has also, for the first time, secured the live streaming rights for
the entire calendar season. MotoGP, the premier motorcycle road racing world
championship is enthusiastically followed by millions of fans all over the
world.
Iberian Peninsular MotoGP Races
This season
bwin is assuming the title sponsorship of two high profile MotoGP events:
at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain (March 30) and in neighbouring Portugal at
Estoril (April 13), thus capitalizing on the enormous following for the sport on
the Iberian Peninsular.
Held in front of huge crowds of fans and broadcast
all over the world, they represent an excellent sponsoring opportunity with
multiple naming and branding privileges, promotions and online presence,
activities and hospitality.
Brno: Advertising curve and bridge
bwin‘s agreement with Dorna also includes the sponsorship of a
curve and bridge at the famous circuit. MotoGP in Brno is set in the heartland
of Central Europe’s motor cycle enthusiasts and attracts crowds in excess of
200,000 from the Czech Republic and surrounding countries. The circuit is set in
the rolling hills near the Czech city of Brno, which create a natural
amphitheatre for the races. The event is extremely popular with spectators and
competitors alike.
High Profile Sponsorship in top class
sport
By associating with this dynamic motor sport at these three top
venues, bwin continues to pursue its policy of being associated with top
class international sports. In addition to its interest in MotoGP, the company,
the world’s leading providers of online gaming entertainment, also sponsors Real
Madrid, FC Barcelona and AC Milan, high profile international teams from the
most important European soccer leagues. bwin is also the official partner
of the bwin Liga Portugal and supports the German National Team for
friendly internationals leading up to the Euro 2008. As global sponsor of FIBA,
the International Basketball Federation, bwin will be also partner of the
FIBA Euro Basket Poland in 2009 and the FIBA World Championship in Turkey the
following year.
