MAZDA RACEWAY LAGUNA SECA HAS THE
MOTOGP CURE FOR THE ECONOMIC BLUES
Special
payment plans available for Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix ticket
packages
MONTEREY, Calif. (March 27, 2008) – Does the looming
threat of a recession have you thinking twice about expenditures? Prices at the
gas pumps make you cringe? Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has a ticket solution for
the economically-minded MotoGP fan thinking of coming to the Red Bull U.S. Grand
Prix, July 18-20. Payment plans are available for all tickets ranging from
single-day general admission to three-day Premiere tickets. Unlike current
sales trends, ticket prices for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix have remained the
same since 2005.
Payment plans vary per ticket, so fans need to call the
Ticketing Office at 1-800-327-SECA to discuss their options. Deposits as little
as $25 for a single-day general admission ticket are all that’s needed to
reserve a ticket to the 2008 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.
“Times are tough right now, and people are being more
careful about what they spend their money on,” said Gill Campbell, CEO of Mazda
Raceway Laguna Seca. She continued, “These payment plans allow MotoGP fans to
hold onto their money longer, yet still experience this world-class event in
person.”
The biggest event on the 2008 schedule – the Red Bull
U.S. Grand Prix – attracted more than 140,000 fans in 2007. The 2008 event will
include support races from the Red Bull Rookies Cup and AMA
Superbike.
Information on ticketing plans is only available by
calling 1-800-327-SECA. Regular tickets are available for purchase online at www.laguna-seca.com and www.ticketmaster.com.
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was established in 1957. The
world-renowned raceway has been operated since its inception by the Sports Car
Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP), a not-for-profit 501C(4)
corporation. Each race season, SCRAMP donates its net proceeds to the volunteer
groups that help put on the races.
