It's okay to call this team a two-BIT team
In most circles, if you tell someone they have a two-bit team, they may
take offense. Not so with WERA racer
Michael Scott, who takes it as a compliment thanks to his new partner BIT, who's
a bit unusual.
You see, Michael's new partner is a toon.
"Move over Aflac Duck and GEICO Gecko, a new toon is on the scene and he
has a need for speed," Michael says.
Actually, the toon's name is BIT, named after Michael Scott whose track
name is Bit; thus was born the Two-Bit team.
When BIT isn’t racing he’s the lead man in marketing campaigns for the
Virginia Beach-based company ByeByeBanker.com, which retails software that helps
homeowners pay down their mortgage in as little as one-half to one-third the
time without the cost of refinancing their existing mortgage or increasing
minimum required monthly payments.
This year, the Two-BIT team seems to be clicking. Michael finished 2nd during the Feb. 10 WERA
Regional SE at Talladega Grand Prix Raceway, his best showing ever there. Two weeks later he finished 3rd at the
European Rally School's Formula 2 race in Starke, Fla.
Michael began riding Motocross without training wheels at age four and
began racing at age 5 ½. In 2007, the
fourth-grader found his groove and finished 3rd in WERA National Series, 2nd in
WERA Mid-Central, 2nd in WERA North Central, 2nd in WERA Southeast, 4th in WERA
North Florida, and 6th in WERA Mid-Atlantic.
Michael consistently runs speeds that are many times 3 to 4 tenths faster
than the next class above.
It was Michael’s Dad, an “Army Ranger” that introduced CEO Diane to
Michael Jr. & a few sparks later began BBB’s sponsorship of MBS Racing.
"Motocross is a fast-growing and fun-to-watch sport; ByeByeBanker
realized what better place to launch a cartoon than in an industry full action,"
Diane says, Michael is a tremendous young boy who exemplifies everything we like
about the motocross -- talented racers, supportive families, and loyal fans.
Diane hopes ByeByeBanker’s sponsorship will help stimulate other
organizations to get involved in the sport through sponsorship &
funding. She understands that Motorcycle
Racing has been neglected as far as sponsorship is concerned, especially in the
younger classes of the sport & is doing her part to change those perceptions
in an ambitious effort to promote talent & support Michael’s dreams.
