From Team Rally PanAm

Central Europe Rally:
Jonah Street and Team Top Rally PanAm struggle through Romania, and
shine in Hungary.

Veszprem, Hungary.  Four days into the Central Europe Rally, the
competition moves from Romania back to Hungary.  The Romanian stages
were short, muddy, rocky, technical, and even sometimes snowy.  This
was not ideal for the big KTM 690 Rally bikes of Rally PanAm and most
of the other top teams.  These motorcycles were designed for the
deserts of Mauritania and Morocco.  Riders on smaller, enduro-based
bikes played their advantage and dominated the four Romanian special
tests.  Jonah Street held his own, bringing the big bike home safe
each day, and not too far from the leaders.

Today the rally left the Romanian mountains and returned to the plains
of Hungary.  Jonah enjoyed the change in terrain, which he thought
was, ?more like the Baja races at home.?  He finished 3rd on today?s
second special test, placing him in a solid 6th Overall.  Street had
fallen to 8th Overall yesterday after several Romanian specials.

For the next 3 days, the rally remains in Hungary, where the team
expects to do well and continue to move up the standings.  The Central
Europe Rally finishes at Lake Balaton on April 26.

This rally is the first of the new Dakar Series, with US Television
coverage on Direct TV Channel 101.  Following success in this event,
Rally PanAm hopes to compete in the entire series, including the 2009
Dakar Rally in South America.

Team Top Rally PanAm Is the only American motorcycle team now
competing in rallies, and is backed by Top Oil Company, Klim gear,
Scuderia West, Rally Management Services, Gore-Tex, APL, Motion Pro,
Baja Designs, Transfer Flow, Ready Racing, Scott Goggles, Renazco
Racing, MX1West, ICW, DP Brakes, Megla Designs, Aladdin Freight, KTM
Twins.com, JJE Constructors, Michelin, Linkfinity, Iridium, JoeHauler,
SPS Suspension, and Harry?s Custom Paint.
