From Miller Motorsports Park Press
TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (May 23, 2008) –
Scott Jensen, a
32-year-old privateer motorcycle racer from Longmont, Colo., has been accepted
by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and series organizers
FGSport as a Wild Card entry for the HANNspree Superbike World Championship®
StriVectin-SD® USA Round at Miller Motorsports Park, scheduled for May 29 – June
1.
Jensen, who is a regular competitor in the Honda
Presents the Plaza Cycle Masters of the Mountains Series at Miller Motorsports
Park, has been racing professionally since 1999 and raced his first full season
in 2001. He currently competes in the AMA Superbike and Superstock classes on
his No. 61 Moto Garage Racing Suzuki GSX-R1000.
A native of Davenport, N.D., Jensen has been riding motorcycles since
the age of four, and has competed in road racing since he was 19. His best
finish to date has been a third place in AMA Superstock at Road America
in 2007.
Jensen will be the only American rider competing in the
HANNspree Superbike World Championship® StriVectin-SD® USA Round. For this
event, Jensen’s Suzuki will retain its No. 61 and the team will compete as Team
OnTheThrottle.tv. His primary sponsors are OnTheThrotle.tv, Trackstar1.com,
MillerMotorsportsPark, Pirelli, Suzuki, TediJensen.com and
Moto Garage.
“I am honored to have been chosen as the Wild Card entry
in the HANNspree Superbike World Championship event at Miller Motorsports Park,” Jensen said. “It is the opportunity
of a lifetime! The amount of support that I have received from my extended
racing family has been fantastic; without everyone rallying behind me, I would
not be able to compete in this event. I intend to represent my family, friends,
sponsors and my country to the best of my ability.”
“We are very proud that Scott has been accepted as a
Wild Card entry for the HANNspree Superbike World Championship® StriVectin-SD®
USA Round,” said Miller Motorsports Park CEO/General Manager Alan Wilson. “He is
like one of the family here, since he is a regular competitor in our Plaza Cycle
Masters of the Mountains series, and he will do a fine job representing our
facility and our country. We wish him all the
best.”
The HANNspree Superbike World Championship®
