| For 2000 Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha have each released all-new or redesigned open class sport bikes. Make no doubt about it, all three of these bikes have the same goal in mind, to be the quickest, best handling and most powerful sportbike available. Not one of these machines is a watered-down homologation special, but each is its respected manufacture's very best effort at delivering superbike level performance in a street-legal package. |
| Knowing that any comparison between these three ultimately comes down to hard and fast performance, we packed them all up and took them to the track and high-desert top-speed course, so that we could gather the necessary data. Because we know you don't want to read 6,000 words on the Internet we have compiled all of the really good performance and bike data, original photos and one rider's opinion for each bike. This should give you a great jump on you research and if you want to see the complete story run down to your local Barnes and Nobles, or other fine newsstand, and pick up your copy of the awesome June issue of American Road & Racing. |
