Motorcyclists - we're always looking for an edge. We constantly yearn for, shop for and usually purchase, that performance advantage that will make our bikes handle better, be stronger or go just that little bit faster.

I have something for you. It's all of the above and more. You don't have to be a skilled technician to fit it and it won't void your warranty or red flag your insurance company policy. It's something that can be applied to every bike you ride and something that you'll never break or even wear out.

Too good to be true? I think not, because I'm talking about the Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School at Road Atlanta.

I was recently invited to experience the school by a former staff writer for Motorcyclist and Sport Rider magazine Lance Holst. Now, this was a double whammy for me, a chance to meet a highly respected and much admired journalist and also a chance to meet a demigod, Sir Kevin Schwantz.

My initial glance at the School schedule had me smacking my lips in eager anticipation of a track day feast. Nearly three hours of Road Atlanta track time. I wasn't looking at the classroom time, after all I've been riding for nearly 25 years what could I possibly learn from this days tutoring? How wrong I was...

Now, I've done a few schools in the U.S. and one thing I've noticed is that when you have a mixed bag of abilities sharing a track, the faster guys tend not to receive the tuition or indeed, the attention, offered to a lesser skilled class mate.

Look, I'm not saying that I'm super fast or anything, but I can carry a half decent pace and because of that, I've usually been left to my own devices.
