Yamaha YZF-R1 Radiator Grill

One of the nicest things about owning a motorcycle is the fact that regardless of model or indeed popularity of that model, you can always add aftermarket accessories to personalize your bike and make it "yours".

Some parts are cosmetic, some are for practical purposes. Well this particular part encompasses both of those factors. It's a grill guard made by Cox Racingroup. It's a very well manufactured piece that both protects and enhances the stock radiator.

We fitted one to a 2000 model, and as you can see it transformed a rough looking radiator into the nicely finished piece you see here. Construction of this unit was impeccable, fitted perfectly and came with good, clear and concise fitting instructions. Installation took about 25 minutes with no cussing, cuts or bruising.

After

A couple of added bonus's is that it could stop an errant stone from holing your radiator. And due to the clever way it's recessed into the radiator, it could well stop the radiator deforming in a tip over or low speed crash.

The price is only $65.00+ shipping and fits 1998 to 2000 Yamaha R1 models.

If you visit http://www.coxracingroup.com/ you can secure order one online or contact the Cox Racingroup on 503-244-7342. Further models are being considered with a possibility of some anodized colors.
