FONTANA TEST SUCCESS FOR ELLISON AND CORONA EXTRA HONDA RACING SUPERBIKE

Corona Extra Honda Racing rolled out its brand new Honda CBR1000RR Superbike for the first time at the California Speedway, Fontana this past weekend. Outstanding support from American Honda in getting parts from Japan and other team suppliers including Ohlin’s made it all possible! Thanks also go to Fastrack Riders for making room for James in their packed event at the last minute.

Race team manager Dwayne McCracken and James were both very pleased with the outcome. Dwayne said; "We only finished the bike Friday night! We planned just to circulate but had no problems with the bike. We had Stig Patterson of Ohlin’s in support so were able to get the new TTX forks, which arrived Saturday morning, working well". James concurred saying; "we came to Fontana so I could learn the track but everything went so well we were able to get some good setup data and start getting the bike up to speed". For his first time at a super speedway James felt the track was "interesting" and not as intimidating as he expected. "I’m really looking forward to racing here" he said!

Almost immediately Dwayne and James headed off for Daytona and the Dunlop tire test starting this coming Monday. Look for more updates on James’ ride at Daytona and the Corona Extra Honda program next week.
